Michelangelo was born in March of 1475 in Caprese, Italy. He is known as the second renaissane man behing Leonardo da Vinci. Michelangelo is the creator of some of the world's most famous artworks. He painted on the Sistine Chapel ceiling, and in the same room the Last Judgment. Other (nonpaint) famous works are the Pieta and the statue of David. Michelangelo did not consider himself an attractive man, and did not want anybody to paint him. However, he did often put a small image of his face in almost all of his paintings. I chose Michelangelo because his artwork is very famous and he is considered one of the greatest artists of all time.

Here is the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. This took 4 years for Michelangelo to create. It is a wonderful piece of artwork that contains many monumental and holy images inside of it. Like God creation of the heavans, God creating man, Adam and Eve, and the finger of God giving life to Adam. There is many images inside of this fasinating image, but I chose it because it is one of the most famous works of art in history.
Here is the Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel. This is another one of Michelangelo's famous paintings, and I find it very interesting. There are many stories inside of this painting, but it is mainly supposed to be a scary image, that should tell you not to sin, or else you shall be damned to hell. Jesus is focused on the people in the lower right, apart from the blessed people in the lower left, and he is holding a hand up as if he is about to smight the sinners down into hell. There is the man who is being dragged down by demons with the look of astonishment and realization that he is damned to hell, and that there scares me.
